Car Audio & DJ Equipment Near Buena Park

If you are in the city of Buena Park and want car audio or DJ and pro audio gear from a shop that lets you listen first, DJ Custom Audio is about 13.4 miles away at 8696 Atlantic Ave, South Gate, CA 90280. Plan on roughly 21 minutes when the freeways are moving. We do not have a branch in Buena Park and we do not do mobile installs. What we offer Buena Park customers is one well-stocked South Gate counter where the same team handles car audio and DJ equipment.

Buena Park is a city in Orange County where a lot of people live in their cars between work, school and family, so audio upgrades get real use. Coming from the Orange County area, you head northwest to reach us.

Car audio

Car audio is half of what we do, and Buena Park drivers keep the bay busy. The work includes alarms and remote start (Viper only), for security and a cool cabin on hot days; head units with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so maps, calls and music run through a proper screen instead of a phone mount; amplifiers, to power speakers and subs cleanly; GPS and lighting, to round out the build; and full sound systems, planned around your car and budget. For customers coming this far, we suggest calling ahead so the install bay is ready when you arrive.

We're an authorized JL Audio and Alpine dealer, and we also carry Kicker, Focal and Pioneer. A lot of installs get done the same day. Trucks, boats and Can-Am powersports are welcome along with daily drivers. We keep it to sound, security, cameras and lighting, and we only put in gear we'd run in our own rides.

DJ equipment

The other half of the shop is DJ and pro audio equipment for sale, and a lot of Buena Park buyers come for it. On the floor you will find lighting (wash, moving heads, lasers), powered speakers, subwoofers, cases and stands, microphones and wireless systems, mixers and DJ controllers, plus amps and processing, cables and accessories, turntables and media players and fog, haze and bubble effects. Brands we carry include Electro-Voice, JBL, Shure, Mackie, Chauvet, Pioneer DJ, RCF, QSC, ADJ and Technical Pro. Whether the goal is a first DJ rig or a full PA for a venue, we can match speakers, mixer and mics to the room size.

Not sure where to start? Ask about our equipment packages: a DJ lighting kit, a quinceañera or wedding party system and a starter DJ setup are popular picks. To be clear, this is gear sales: no rentals, no DJs for hire, and no DJ equipment repair. Ask Joe on the DJ side about setup and software like Serato; he works with this gear himself.

The drive

DJ Custom Audio is about 13.4 miles from Buena Park by road (12.0 miles in a straight line), and the shop is northwest of Buena Park. Without traffic the drive takes about 21 minutes; rush hour can add a lot more, so check your maps app before you leave. The usual route from Buena Park uses I-5 (Santa Ana Freeway), then surface streets such as Imperial Highway and Firestone Boulevard for the final miles.

You will end up at Atlantic Avenue and Firestone Boulevard. Pull into the lot next to the 7-Eleven at 8696 Atlantic Ave, South Gate, CA 90280; parking is on site, and there is a shopping center across the street.

Why make the drive

Is the trip from Buena Park worth it? Here is why most customers say yes. You can hear the difference between speakers and subs on our demo displays before you spend a dollar. You talk to the people who will actually install your system, not a call center. You get an honest recommendation, including when a cheaper option is the right call. You can see how a head unit screen will look, and ask whether it fits your dash.
