South Gate is home. DJ Custom Audio sits at 8696 Atlantic Ave, South Gate, CA 90280, at the corner of Atlantic and Firestone next to the 7-Eleven, and it is the only location we run. We have been open since 2012 and the people behind the counter bring 20+ years of hands-on experience with car audio and pro sound. South Gate DJs, churches and families shop the same floor for speakers, mixers, controllers, microphones and lighting.

Car audio

South Gate drivers come to us for car audio installation and gear. The work includes subwoofers and enclosures, for bass you can feel without rattling the whole car; full sound systems, planned around your car and budget; head units with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so maps, calls and music run through a proper screen instead of a phone mount; alarms and remote start (Viper only), for security and a cool cabin on hot days; and speaker upgrades, which fix muddy factory sound more than anything else. Because you are so close, it is easy to drop off a car and pick it up the same day.

We're an authorized JL Audio and Alpine dealer, and we also carry Kicker, Focal and Pioneer. A lot of installs get done the same day. Daily drivers, work trucks, boats and Can-Am machines all come through the bay. We stick to sound, security, cameras and lighting, and we only put in gear we trust.

DJ equipment

The other half of the shop is DJ and pro audio equipment for sale, and a lot of South Gate buyers come for it. We stock DJ controllers, cases and stands, powered speakers, mixers, lighting (wash, moving heads, lasers), microphones and wireless systems, cables and accessories and fog, haze and bubble effects, and turntables and media players, amps and processing and subwoofers. You will see Chauvet, QSC, Technical Pro, RCF and Shure on the shelves, plus Pioneer DJ, JBL, Electro-Voice, Mackie and ADJ. Whether the goal is a first DJ rig or a full PA for a venue, we can match speakers, mixer and mics to the room size.
