Car Audio & DJ Equipment Near Commerce

Searching for a car stereo shop or DJ equipment store near Commerce? DJ Custom Audio is about 5.2 miles away by car at 8696 Atlantic Ave, South Gate, CA 90280, roughly a 10-minute drive without heavy traffic. To be clear about how we work: DJ Custom Audio has a single store at 8696 Atlantic Ave, South Gate, CA 90280. Commerce customers drive in, and we make that trip worth it with gear on display, installs in our bay and straight answers.

As an incorporated city in Los Angeles County, Commerce has plenty of daily drivers who put serious hours behind the wheel, which is exactly when better sound pays off. On a map, Commerce falls in the Gateway Cities (Southeast LA County) part of Los Angeles County, and South Gate is southwest of it.

Car audio

Here is what Commerce drivers usually ask us for. The work includes amplifiers, to power speakers and subs cleanly; GPS and lighting, to round out the build; speaker upgrades, which fix muddy factory sound more than anything else; head units with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so maps, calls and music run through a proper screen instead of a phone mount; and backup cameras and dash cams, for safer parking and a record of the road. The drive is short enough that most install customers wait at the shop or run errands nearby.

We're an authorized JL Audio and Alpine dealer, and we also carry Kicker, Focal and Pioneer. A lot of installs get done the same day. Trucks, boats and Can-Am powersports are welcome along with daily drivers. Tony keeps the bay focused on sound, security, cameras and lighting, done right the first time.

DJ equipment

Commerce DJs, bands, churches and families shop our DJ and pro audio floor. Categories include cases and stands, powered speakers, fog, haze and bubble effects, turntables and media players, DJ controllers and cables and accessories, along with microphones and wireless systems, amps and processing, lighting (wash, moving heads, lasers), mixers and subwoofers. Brands we carry include Chauvet, JBL, Technical Pro, Mackie, Electro-Voice, QSC, RCF, ADJ, Shure and Pioneer DJ. A DJ from Commerce upgrading to a new controller, a church adding wireless mics, and a family building a party system can all be helped in one visit.

Not sure where to start? Ask about our equipment packages: a starter DJ setup, a DJ lighting kit and a church or venue PA are popular picks. Everything here is for sale: no rentals, no DJs for hire, and no DJ equipment repair. Ask Joe on the DJ side about setup and software like Serato; he works with this gear himself.

The drive

DJ Custom Audio is about 5.2 miles from Commerce by road (3.5 miles in a straight line), and the shop is southwest of Commerce. Without traffic the drive takes about 10 minutes; rush hour can add a lot more, so check your maps app before you leave. The usual route from Commerce uses I-710 (Long Beach Freeway), then surface streets such as South Eastern Avenue and Firestone Boulevard for the final miles.

The last stretch brings you to Atlantic Avenue at Firestone Boulevard in South Gate. The shop is at 8696 Atlantic Ave, South Gate, CA 90280, next to the 7-Eleven. Parking is on site, and a shopping center sits across the street, so you can grab food while an install is underway.

Why make the drive

There are good reasons Commerce customers shop in person with us. You can hear the difference between speakers and subs on our demo displays before you spend a dollar. You can see how a head unit screen will look, and ask whether it fits your dash. You get an honest recommendation, including when a cheaper option is the right call. You talk to the people who will actually install your system, not a call center.
