Car Audio & DJ Equipment Near Exposition Park

From Exposition Park, our South Gate store is about 11.0 miles by road, roughly 18 minutes in light traffic. It is one counter, one address (8696 Atlantic Ave, South Gate, CA 90280), and a team that does both car audio and DJ equipment. To be clear about how we work: DJ Custom Audio has a single store at 8696 Atlantic Ave, South Gate, CA 90280. Exposition Park customers drive in, and we make that trip worth it with gear on display, installs in our bay and straight answers.

Plenty of our customers come from Exposition Park and other Los Angeles neighborhoods, usually with a daily driver that deserves better sound. Coming from the Central & South Los Angeles area, you head southeast to reach us.

Car audio

Here is what Exposition Park drivers usually ask us for. The work includes head units with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so maps, calls and music run through a proper screen instead of a phone mount; amplifiers, to power speakers and subs cleanly; full sound systems, planned around your car and budget; GPS and lighting, to round out the build; and alarms and remote start (Viper only), for security and a cool cabin on hot days. For customers coming this far, we suggest calling ahead so the install bay is ready when you arrive.

We're an authorized JL Audio and Alpine dealer, and we also carry Kicker, Focal and Pioneer. A lot of installs get done the same day. Trucks, boats and Can-Am powersports are welcome along with daily drivers. Tony keeps the bay focused on sound, security, cameras and lighting, done right the first time.

DJ equipment

Exposition Park DJs, bands, churches and families shop our DJ and pro audio floor. Categories include fog, haze and bubble effects, mixers, powered speakers, cables and accessories, microphones and wireless systems and DJ controllers, along with subwoofers, turntables and media players, lighting (wash, moving heads, lasers), amps and processing and cases and stands. Our DJ and pro audio lines are RCF, QSC, Shure, Electro-Voice, Chauvet, JBL, Mackie, Technical Pro, ADJ and Pioneer DJ. Whether the goal is a first DJ rig or a full PA for a venue, we can match speakers, mixer and mics to the room size.

Packages save guesswork. A quinceañera or wedding party system and a DJ lighting kit are two we build often, matched so every piece works together. Everything here is for sale: no rentals, no DJs for hire, and no DJ equipment repair. Ask Joe on the DJ side about setup and software like Serato; he works with this gear himself.

The drive

DJ Custom Audio is about 11.0 miles from Exposition Park by road (8.1 miles in a straight line), and the shop is southeast of Exposition Park. Without traffic the drive takes about 18 minutes; rush hour can add a lot more, so check your maps app before you leave. The usual route from Exposition Park uses I-110 (Harbor Freeway), then surface streets such as West Manchester Avenue and Firestone Boulevard for the final miles.

Look for the corner of Atlantic and Firestone. We are next to the 7-Eleven at 8696 Atlantic Ave, South Gate, CA 90280, with parking on site and a shopping center across the street if you want to wait nearby during an install.

Why make the drive

Is the trip from Exposition Park worth it? Here is why most customers say yes. You can reserve gear by phone and pick it up at the counter, so nothing is sold out when you arrive. You talk to the people who will actually install your system, not a call center. You can hold a DJ controller or mixer, test a wireless mic, and compare powered speakers side by side. You can see how a head unit screen will look, and ask whether it fits your dash.
