The drive

Without traffic the drive takes about 29 minutes; rush hour can add a lot more, so check your maps app before you leave. The usual route from Fairfax uses US-101 (Hollywood Freeway), I-5 (Santa Ana Freeway) and I-710 (Long Beach Freeway), then surface streets such as Melrose Avenue and Firestone Boulevard for the final miles.

The last stretch brings you to Atlantic Avenue at Firestone Boulevard in South Gate. The shop is at 8696 Atlantic Ave, South Gate, CA 90280, next to the 7-Eleven. Parking is on site, and a shopping center sits across the street, so you can grab food while an install is underway.
