Car Audio & DJ Equipment Near Mayflower Village

Mayflower Village is on the outer edge of the area we serve, about 21.9 miles from our shop at 8696 Atlantic Ave, South Gate, CA 90280, and roughly 30 minutes without traffic. People still make the drive when they want DJ and pro audio equipment they can hear before buying, or a car audio install done by a team that has been at it since 2012. We do not have a branch in Mayflower Village and we do not do mobile installs. What we offer Mayflower Village customers is one well-stocked South Gate counter where the same team handles car audio and DJ equipment.

Because Mayflower Village is unincorporated Los Angeles County territory, many locals already head into neighboring cities for specialty shopping, and South Gate is an easy stop. Mayflower Village is in the San Gabriel Valley area; our shop is southwest of Mayflower Village.

Car audio

Car audio is half of what we do, and Mayflower Village drivers keep the bay busy. The work includes GPS and lighting, to round out the build; amplifiers, to power speakers and subs cleanly; head units with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so maps, calls and music run through a proper screen instead of a phone mount; full sound systems, planned around your car and budget; and subwoofers and enclosures, for bass you can feel without rattling the whole car. From this distance, most customers book installs ahead of time so the car goes straight into the bay.

We're an authorized JL Audio and Alpine dealer, and we also carry Kicker, Focal and Pioneer. A lot of installs get done the same day. Bought something online already? We install customer-supplied gear too. Trucks, boats and Can-Am powersports are welcome along with daily drivers. We stick to sound, security, cameras and lighting, and we only put in gear we trust.

DJ equipment

The other half of the shop is DJ and pro audio equipment for sale, and a lot of Mayflower Village buyers come for it. Categories include fog, haze and bubble effects, mixers, DJ controllers, subwoofers, turntables and media players and cases and stands, along with lighting (wash, moving heads, lasers), cables and accessories, amps and processing, powered speakers and microphones and wireless systems. Brands we carry include Chauvet, Pioneer DJ, RCF, Shure, Electro-Voice, JBL, ADJ, Technical Pro, Mackie and QSC. Common Mayflower Village requests: a first controller and speakers, a bigger PA for a growing church, or lighting to finish a setup.

Not sure where to start? Ask about our equipment packages: a backyard party PA, a quinceañera or wedding party system and a DJ lighting kit are popular picks. We sell DJ gear only: no rentals, no DJs for hire, and no DJ equipment repair. Ask Joe on the DJ side about setup and software like Serato; he works with this gear himself.

The drive

DJ Custom Audio is about 21.9 miles from Mayflower Village by road (15.0 miles in a straight line), and the shop is southwest of Mayflower Village. Without traffic the drive takes about 30 minutes; rush hour can add a lot more, so check your maps app before you leave. The usual route from Mayflower Village uses I-605 (San Gabriel River Freeway), then surface streets such as Live Oak Avenue and Firestone Boulevard for the final miles.

You will end up at Atlantic Avenue and Firestone Boulevard. Pull into the lot next to the 7-Eleven at 8696 Atlantic Ave, South Gate, CA 90280; parking is on site, and there is a shopping center across the street.
