Car Audio & DJ Equipment Near Placentia

Placentia is on the outer edge of the area we serve, about 22.6 miles from our shop at 8696 Atlantic Ave, South Gate, CA 90280, and roughly 35 minutes without traffic. People still make the drive when they want DJ and pro audio equipment they can hear before buying, or a car audio install done by a team that has been at it since 2012. There is no DJ Custom Audio location in Placentia. We run one shop, in South Gate, and everything happens there: installs, demos, gear pickup and Payment Plan paperwork.

Car audio

Placentia drivers come to us for car audio installation and gear. The work includes alarms and remote start (Viper only), for security and a cool cabin on hot days; head units with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so maps, calls and music run through a proper screen instead of a phone mount; speaker upgrades, which fix muddy factory sound more than anything else; GPS and lighting, to round out the build; and full sound systems, planned around your car and budget. We're an authorized JL Audio and Alpine dealer, and we also carry Kicker, Focal and Pioneer. A lot of installs get done the same day. Bought something online already? We install customer-supplied gear too. Daily drivers, work trucks, boats and Can-Am machines all come through the bay. Tony keeps the bay focused on sound, security, cameras and lighting, done right the first time.

DJ equipment

The other half of the shop is DJ and pro audio equipment for sale, and a lot of Placentia buyers come for it. On the floor you will find mixers, powered speakers, amps and processing, turntables and media players, subwoofers, fog, haze and bubble effects and DJ controllers, plus lighting (wash, moving heads, lasers), cables and accessories, microphones and wireless systems and cases and stands. You will see ADJ, Technical Pro, Pioneer DJ, RCF and JBL on the shelves, plus Chauvet, Mackie, Shure, QSC and Electro-Voice. Whether the goal is a first DJ rig or a full PA for a venue, we can match speakers, mixer and mics to the room size.

We also put together equipment packages, such as a backyard party PA, a starter DJ setup or a quinceañera or wedding party system, so you walk out with gear that works together. Everything here is for sale: no rentals, no DJs for hire, and no DJ equipment repair. Joe will help you set up your gear and get Serato running before you leave.

The drive

DJ Custom Audio is about 22.6 miles from Placentia by road (19.5 miles in a straight line), and the shop is west of Placentia. Without traffic the drive takes about 35 minutes; rush hour can add a lot more, so check your maps app before you leave. The usual route from Placentia uses CA-91 (Riverside Freeway) and I-5 (Santa Ana Freeway), then surface streets such as Imperial Highway and Firestone Boulevard for the final miles.

Look for the corner of Atlantic and Firestone. We are next to the 7-Eleven at 8696 Atlantic Ave, South Gate, CA 90280, with parking on site and a shopping center across the street if you want to wait nearby during an install.
