Playa del Rey customers make the 18.5-mile trip to DJ Custom Audio in South Gate for car audio installs and DJ equipment they can see, hear and take home the same day. Car audio

The other half of the shop is DJ and pro audio equipment for sale, and a lot of Playa del Rey buyers come for it. We also put together equipment packages, such as a DJ lighting kit, a church or venue PA or a starter DJ setup, so you walk out with gear that works together. To be clear, this is gear sales: no rentals, no DJs for hire, and no DJ equipment repair. Ask Joe on the DJ side about setup and software like Serato; he works with this gear himself.

The drive

DJ Custom Audio is about 18.5 miles from Playa del Rey by road (14.6 miles in a straight line), and the shop is east of Playa del Rey. Without traffic the drive takes about 27 minutes; rush hour can add a lot more, so check your maps app before you leave. The usual route from Playa del Rey uses I-105 (Century Freeway), then surface streets such as Otis Street and Firestone Boulevard for the final miles.

Look for the corner of Atlantic and Firestone. We are next to the 7-Eleven at 8696 Atlantic Ave, South Gate, CA 90280, with parking on site and a shopping center across the street if you want to wait nearby during an install.
