Car Audio & DJ Equipment Near Venice

Venice is on the outer edge of the area we serve, about 21.9 miles from our shop at 8696 Atlantic Ave, South Gate, CA 90280, and roughly 32 minutes without traffic. People still make the drive when they want DJ and pro audio equipment they can hear before buying, or a car audio install done by a team that has been at it since 2012. We do not have a branch in Venice and we do not do mobile installs. What we offer Venice customers is one well-stocked South Gate counter where the same team handles car audio and DJ equipment.

Plenty of our customers come from Venice and other Los Angeles neighborhoods, usually with a daily driver that deserves better sound. Venice is in the Westside area; our shop is east of Venice.

Car audio

Car audio is half of what we do, and Venice drivers keep the bay busy. The work includes amplifiers, to power speakers and subs cleanly; subwoofers and enclosures, for bass you can feel without rattling the whole car; speaker upgrades, which fix muddy factory sound more than anything else; full sound systems, planned around your car and budget; and backup cameras and dash cams, for safer parking and a record of the road. From this distance, most customers book installs ahead of time so the car goes straight into the bay.

We're an authorized JL Audio and Alpine dealer, and we also carry Kicker, Focal and Pioneer. A lot of installs get done the same day. Daily drivers, work trucks, boats and Can-Am machines all come through the bay. We keep it to sound, security, cameras and lighting, and we only put in gear we'd run in our own rides.

DJ equipment

Venice DJs, bands, churches and families shop our DJ and pro audio floor. We stock DJ controllers, turntables and media players, lighting (wash, moving heads, lasers), mixers, fog, haze and bubble effects, amps and processing, powered speakers and subwoofers, and microphones and wireless systems, cables and accessories and cases and stands. Brands we carry include Electro-Voice, JBL, ADJ, RCF, Mackie, Pioneer DJ, Technical Pro, QSC, Chauvet and Shure. The drive

DJ Custom Audio is about 21.9 miles from Venice by road (16.5 miles in a straight line), and the shop is east of Venice. Without traffic the drive takes about 32 minutes; rush hour can add a lot more, so check your maps app before you leave. The usual route from Venice uses I-105 (Century Freeway), then surface streets such as Otis Street and Firestone Boulevard for the final miles.

You will end up at Atlantic Avenue and Firestone Boulevard. Pull into the lot next to the 7-Eleven at 8696 Atlantic Ave, South Gate, CA 90280; parking is on site, and there is a shopping center across the street.
