Car Audio & DJ Equipment Near Vernon

DJ Custom Audio is not in Vernon, but it is close: about 6.2 driving miles southeast of Vernon (about 10 minutes without traffic), at 8696 Atlantic Ave, South Gate, CA 90280. We do not have a branch in Vernon and we do not do mobile installs. What we offer Vernon customers is one well-stocked South Gate counter where the same team handles car audio and DJ equipment.

As an incorporated city in Los Angeles County, Vernon has plenty of daily drivers who put serious hours behind the wheel, which is exactly when better sound pays off. Coming from the Gateway Cities (Southeast LA County) area, you head southeast to reach us.

Car audio

Vernon drivers come to us for car audio installation and gear. The work includes subwoofers and enclosures, for bass you can feel without rattling the whole car; alarms and remote start (Viper only), for security and a cool cabin on hot days; backup cameras and dash cams, for safer parking and a record of the road; speaker upgrades, which fix muddy factory sound more than anything else; and GPS and lighting, to round out the build. The drive is short enough that most install customers wait at the shop or run errands nearby.

We're an authorized JL Audio and Alpine dealer, and we also carry Kicker, Focal and Pioneer. A lot of installs get done the same day. Trucks, boats and Can-Am powersports are welcome along with daily drivers. We stick to sound, security, cameras and lighting, and we only put in gear we trust.

DJ equipment

If you DJ, run sound for a church, or are putting together a system for a family party in Vernon, we sell the equipment to do it. We stock turntables and media players, amps and processing, subwoofers, DJ controllers, powered speakers, cables and accessories, lighting (wash, moving heads, lasers) and microphones and wireless systems, and cases and stands, mixers and fog, haze and bubble effects. Brands we carry include Shure, Electro-Voice, Technical Pro, Mackie, RCF, QSC, ADJ, Chauvet, Pioneer DJ and JBL. A DJ from Vernon upgrading to a new controller, a church adding wireless mics, and a family building a party system can all be helped in one visit.

Not sure where to start? Ask about our equipment packages: a backyard party PA, a DJ lighting kit and a church or venue PA are popular picks. We sell DJ gear only: no rentals, no DJs for hire, and no DJ equipment repair. Ask Joe on the DJ side about setup and software like Serato; he works with this gear himself.

The usual route from Vernon uses I-710 (Long Beach Freeway), then surface streets such as District Boulevard and Firestone Boulevard for the final miles.

Look for the corner of Atlantic and Firestone. We are next to the 7-Eleven at 8696 Atlantic Ave, South Gate, CA 90280, with parking on site and a shopping center across the street if you want to wait nearby during an install.

Why make the drive

Is the trip from Vernon worth it? Here is why most customers say yes. You can hold a DJ controller or mixer, test a wireless mic, and compare powered speakers side by side. You can reserve gear by phone and pick it up at the counter, so nothing is sold out when you arrive. You can see how a head unit screen will look, and ask whether it fits your dash. You can hear the difference between speakers and subs on our demo displays before you spend a dollar.
