Chevy trucks and SUVs are a big part of what rolls into our bay. We upgrade Silverados, Tahoes, Equinoxes, Malibus and Camaros and keep the factory features you rely on.

Bose or base first

The first thing we check on a Chevy is the factory system. Many Chevy trucks and SUVs, especially on higher trims, came with Bose. A Bose system usually has its own amp and its own speaker setup, so we plan the upgrade around it. On base systems, the path is often simpler.

Newer Chevys also tie a lot into the radio: OnStar, vehicle settings, chimes and sometimes the camera. We do not want you to lose any of that.

Radios and integration

On many older Silverados, Tahoes and Malibus, a new receiver drops in with a dash kit and harness. On models where the radio talks to the rest of the truck, an integration module like iDatalink Maestro is the move. On supported vehicles it can keep steering-wheel controls, the factory camera, OnStar and vehicle info on the new screen.

On the newest Chevys with the big built-in screen, we usually keep the screen and upgrade speakers, amps and subs behind it. That keeps the truck working the way GM built it.

Truck bass and speakers

Crew cab Silverados are made for bass. A loaded enclosure behind or under the rear seat is our most common truck setup. You keep the bed and the cab stays clean. In a Tahoe, there is room in the back for a real box. In an Equinox or Malibu, a smaller box or under-seat sub does the job.

Up front, a good set of JL Audio or Kicker speakers with a four-channel amp cleans up the whole stage. Add sound deadening in the doors and the difference is easy to hear on the freeway.

Remote start is a must for a black Silverado parked in the sun. We install Viper only, and push-to-start trucks need the right bypass.

A Camaro is its own thing. The trunk opening is small and space is tight, so we lean on compact, ready-built boxes and keep the install light. Some Camaro trims also came with Bose, so the same factory-amp rules apply.

Send us the details

A Silverado WT and a Silverado LTZ can need totally different parts. Give us the year, make, model and trim. Text (213) 674-9042 and Tony confirms what fits and quotes the install. Gear bought and installed here gets lifetime labor plus the manufacturer warranty.

Questions

Can I keep OnStar with a new radio in my Chevy?

On many models, an integration module like iDatalink Maestro keeps OnStar and other factory features. It depends on the year and trim, so we confirm first.

Where does a sub go in a crew cab Silverado?

Usually behind or under the rear seat in a loaded enclosure. We check your cab and show you the options before we order anything.

My Chevy has Bose. Can I still upgrade?

Yes, but the plan is different. Bose systems usually have their own amp. Text us the year and trim and Tony will lay out the best way to go.
