Out on the water or the trail, speakers face sun and spray. The marine gear in our listings is built for that: depending on the model, the listing names UV-resistant cones or grilles, sealed or water-resistant parts, stainless hardware, an IP rating or salt fog testing.

Marine speakers for the boat

The Alpine SPS-M601 is rated IPX5, tested for salt spray and fog, and its listing says its efficiency lets it run from a marine head unit without an amplifier. The Kicker KM 45KM654L adds LED lighting, sealed motors and 316L stainless hardware, and the Kicker M-Class 51MSC65 uses carbon-fiber-infused cones and waterproof connectors for the speaker and the lighting.

The JL Audio M3-650X-S-Gm-i adds RGB LED lighting on a separate lead. The JL Audio M6 7.7-inch fits many openings made for 6.5s while giving extra cone area, per its listing, and the M6 8.8-inch and Alpine MRN-S88-LW are big-cone speakers with more midbass; the Alpine is IP66 with Deutsch connectors and an RGB LED grille.

UTVs, golf carts and wake towers

The Alpine SPV-65-SXS pods clamp to 1.5 to 2-inch bars on side-by-sides, UTVs and golf carts, with IP55 drivers in IP65 enclosures. For towers, the Kicker KMTC 45KMTC65 cans clamp to 1.5 to 3.25-inch tubing, the DB Drive APT65RGB has swivel clamps and RGB lighting, and the Kicker KMTCXL 51KMTCXL65 uses horn-loaded compression drivers in cans that rotate 354 degrees.

For bigger towers, the JL Audio M6-880ETXv3 is an 8.8-inch enclosed tower speaker with 10-foot flying leads, and the Kicker KMFC 47KMFC9 is a 9-inch horn-loaded speaker made for flat factory tower hardpoints with 2.5-inch bolt spacing.

Marine subs and stereos

The Alpine PWE-S8-MRN is a powered 8-inch marine sub with a 120 W RMS amp in a low-profile IPX6 box that fits under seats and consoles. The JL Audio M6-10IB and Alpine MRN-W12S4-IB are made for infinite-baffle mounting in a boat panel, and the Kicker KMF 45KMF122 is a free-air 12-inch that plays bass without a dedicated box.

For the head unit, the Alpine UTE-M701 and UTE-MN801 are waterproof marine receivers with sunlight-readable screens; the UTE-MN801 has a 6-channel amp and dual-zone control. The JL Audio A60 runs four audio zones with NMEA 2000 networking, the A60-H is the hideaway version controlled from a chartplotter or app, and the JL Audio MBT-CRXv3 is a compact Bluetooth controller for streaming without a full head unit.
