Vehicle-Specific Radio Kits: Stinger HORIZON10 and HEIGH10, Alpine Jeep Systems and PAC Kits
A vehicle-specific kit is built for one dash, so a big screen sits flush where the factory radio was instead of floating in front of it. On our listings, Stinger HORIZON10 kits put a 10.1-inch touchscreen with wired and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto into Jeep, Toyota, GM, Ram, Ford and Dodge trucks and cars, plugging into the factory wiring without splicing. Alpine's i407 and i509 Jeep systems come with the dash kit and an iDatalink Maestro module. PAC kits keep the climate and camera controls in trucks that put them in the factory screen. Fit depends on year, trim and factory audio, so Tony confirms your car before anything is ordered.
Why a vehicle-specific kit
A regular double-DIN stereo needs a dash kit, a harness and often an interface (see our dash kit guide). A vehicle-specific kit puts those parts together for one dash. The Stinger HORIZON10 kits on our listings pair the flush-mounted HORIZON10 with parts made for that dash, so it connects to the factory wiring without splicing, per their listings.
Every kit in this guide is on our listings, and Tony installs them in our own bay at 8696 Atlantic Ave in South Gate. Most are Call for price, because the shop confirms fit and quotes the dash kit and install for your exact truck or car.

Stinger HORIZON10, HEIGH10 and HORIZON12
HORIZON10 has a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 HD touchscreen with an IP65-rated display face, wired (USB-C) and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, HD Radio, SiriusXM-Ready tuning, three USB ports, HDMI and a 15-band EQ, per our listings. The fully integrated kits for the Wrangler JK and JL, Silverado and Sierra 2014 and up and the Ram add on-screen vehicle information.
HEIGH10 is Stinger's earlier 10-inch flush-mount radio with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The HEIGH10 part numbers on our listings are earlier ones, so the shop confirms what comes in the box before ordering. The HEIGH10+ for Jeep adds wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth 5.1 and on-screen gauges for transfer case, altitude and steering angle. The HORIZON12 steps up to a 12.8-inch 1920 x 1080 screen with an optically bonded, IP65-rated face.
Alpine Jeep systems and PAC kits
The Alpine i407-WRA-JK and i407-WRA-JL are 7-inch receivers packaged with a Jeep dash kit, a Jeep wiring harness and an iDatalink Maestro module to keep factory controls, plus two camera inputs. The i509-WRA-JK and i509-WRA-JL step up to a 9-inch HD, IP53 weather-resistant screen with wired and wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, Hi-Res playback and LDAC. The JL versions are not for 4xe models, per their listings.
PAC's RadioPRO4 kits let a double-DIN radio go in where the factory screen also ran other things. The RPK4-FD2101 (2015-2019 F-150 and 2017-2019 Super Duty with the 8-inch screen) and RPK4-CH4101 (2013-2018 Ram and 2019 Ram Classic) add a 5.2-inch control screen for climate, cameras and settings. The RPK4-CH4102 (Durango) and RPK4-CH4103 (Grand Cherokee) keep a factory-style look. The radio is sold separately with all four.

For most cars, the simple setup is a receiver with a camera input plus the Kenwood CMOS-230LP1, which Kenwood lists as working with most aftermarket receivers that have a camera input. For a sharper picture, the Kenwood CMOS-740HDLP shoots 1280 x 720 HD, but it connects through HD-TVI and works only with select Kenwood receivers that support HD cameras.
