Car Audio & DJ Equipment Near Mid-City

From Mid-City, our South Gate store is about 16.3 miles by road, roughly 26 minutes in light traffic. It is one counter, one address (8696 Atlantic Ave, South Gate, CA 90280), and a team that does both car audio and DJ equipment. There is no DJ Custom Audio location in Mid-City. We run one shop, in South Gate, and everything happens there: installs, demos, gear pickup and Payment Plan paperwork.

Mid-City is part of Los Angeles, and like most Los Angeles neighborhoods it runs on driving, so what you hear in the car matters. Coming from the Central & South Los Angeles area, you head southeast to reach us.

Car audio

Here is what Mid-City drivers usually ask us for. The work includes speaker upgrades, which fix muddy factory sound more than anything else; alarms and remote start (Viper only), for security and a cool cabin on hot days; amplifiers, to power speakers and subs cleanly; head units with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so maps, calls and music run through a proper screen instead of a phone mount; and backup cameras and dash cams, for safer parking and a record of the road. We're an authorized JL Audio and Alpine dealer, and we also carry Kicker, Focal and Pioneer. A lot of installs get done the same day. We work on cars, trucks, boats and powersports like Can-Am machines. We keep it to sound, security, cameras and lighting, and we only put in gear we'd run in our own rides.

DJ equipment

Mid-City DJs, bands, churches and families shop our DJ and pro audio floor. We also put together equipment packages, such as a quinceañera or wedding party system, a starter DJ setup or a church or venue PA, so you walk out with gear that works together. The drive

DJ Custom Audio is about 16.3 miles from Mid-City by road (11.9 miles in a straight line), and the shop is southeast of Mid-City. Without traffic the drive takes about 26 minutes; rush hour can add a lot more, so check your maps app before you leave. The usual route from Mid-City uses I-10 (Santa Monica Freeway), then surface streets such as South Alameda Street and Firestone Boulevard for the final miles.

Look for the corner of Atlantic and Firestone. We are next to the 7-Eleven at 8696 Atlantic Ave, South Gate, CA 90280, with parking on site and a shopping center across the street if you want to wait nearby during an install.
