Car Audio & DJ Equipment Near Panorama City

Panorama City is on the outer edge of the area we serve, about 29.0 miles from our shop at 8696 Atlantic Ave, South Gate, CA 90280, and roughly 41 minutes without traffic. People still make the drive when they want DJ and pro audio equipment they can hear before buying, or a car audio install done by a team that has been at it since 2012. There is no DJ Custom Audio location in Panorama City. We run one shop, in South Gate, and everything happens there: installs, demos, gear pickup and Payment Plan paperwork.

As a Los Angeles neighborhood, Panorama City sits in one of the busiest driving areas in Southern California, where a good sound system makes long drives easier. Coming from the San Fernando Valley & Verdugos area, you head southeast to reach us.

Car audio

Panorama City drivers come to us for car audio installation and gear. The work includes head units with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so maps, calls and music run through a proper screen instead of a phone mount; backup cameras and dash cams, for safer parking and a record of the road; amplifiers, to power speakers and subs cleanly; alarms and remote start (Viper only), for security and a cool cabin on hot days; and GPS and lighting, to round out the build. From this distance, most customers book installs ahead of time so the car goes straight into the bay.

We're an authorized JL Audio and Alpine dealer, and we also carry Kicker, Focal and Pioneer. A lot of installs get done the same day. Daily drivers, work trucks, boats and Can-Am machines all come through the bay. We stick to sound, security, cameras and lighting, and we only put in gear we trust.

DJ equipment

Panorama City DJs, bands, churches and families shop our DJ and pro audio floor. We stock turntables and media players, DJ controllers, mixers, lighting (wash, moving heads, lasers), fog, haze and bubble effects, microphones and wireless systems, cases and stands and cables and accessories, and subwoofers, powered speakers and amps and processing. Our DJ and pro audio lines are ADJ, Shure, RCF, Electro-Voice, JBL, Chauvet, Pioneer DJ, Mackie, Technical Pro and QSC. Common Panorama City requests: a first controller and speakers, a bigger PA for a growing church, or lighting to finish a setup.

Packages save guesswork. A DJ lighting kit and a starter DJ setup are two we build often, matched so every piece works together. To be clear, this is gear sales: no rentals, no DJs for hire, and no DJ equipment repair. Ask Joe on the DJ side about setup and software like Serato; he works with this gear himself.

The drive

DJ Custom Audio is about 29.0 miles from Panorama City by road (24.0 miles in a straight line), and the shop is southeast of Panorama City. Without traffic the drive takes about 41 minutes; rush hour can add a lot more, so check your maps app before you leave. The usual route from Panorama City uses CA-170 (Hollywood Freeway), US-101 (Santa Ana Freeway) and I-5 (Santa Ana Freeway), then surface streets such as Roscoe Boulevard and Firestone Boulevard for the final miles.

You will end up at Atlantic Avenue and Firestone Boulevard. Pull into the lot next to the 7-Eleven at 8696 Atlantic Ave, South Gate, CA 90280; parking is on site, and there is a shopping center across the street.

Why make the drive

There are good reasons Panorama City customers shop in person with us. You can hold a DJ controller or mixer, test a wireless mic, and compare powered speakers side by side. You talk to the people who will actually install your system, not a call center. You can reserve gear by phone and pick it up at the counter, so nothing is sold out when you arrive. You get an honest recommendation, including when a cheaper option is the right call.
