Car Audio & DJ Equipment Near San Marino

If you are in the city of San Marino and want car audio or DJ and pro audio gear from a shop that lets you listen first, DJ Custom Audio is about 15.0 miles away at 8696 Atlantic Ave, South Gate, CA 90280. Plan on roughly 23 minutes when the freeways are moving. There is no DJ Custom Audio location in San Marino. We run one shop, in South Gate, and everything happens there: installs, demos, gear pickup and Payment Plan paperwork.

San Marino is a city in Los Angeles County where a lot of people live in their cars between work, school and family, so audio upgrades get real use. Coming from the San Gabriel Valley area, you head south to reach us.

Car audio

San Marino drivers come to us for car audio installation and gear. The work includes alarms and remote start (Viper only), for security and a cool cabin on hot days; backup cameras and dash cams, for safer parking and a record of the road; head units with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so maps, calls and music run through a proper screen instead of a phone mount; subwoofers and enclosures, for bass you can feel without rattling the whole car; and speaker upgrades, which fix muddy factory sound more than anything else. For customers coming this far, we suggest calling ahead so the install bay is ready when you arrive.

We're an authorized JL Audio and Alpine dealer, and we also carry Kicker, Focal and Pioneer. A lot of installs get done the same day. Trucks, boats and Can-Am powersports are welcome along with daily drivers. Tony keeps the bay focused on sound, security, cameras and lighting, done right the first time.

DJ equipment

The other half of the shop is DJ and pro audio equipment for sale, and a lot of San Marino buyers come for it. On the floor you will find mixers, powered speakers, amps and processing, cases and stands, fog, haze and bubble effects, cables and accessories and lighting (wash, moving heads, lasers), plus DJ controllers, turntables and media players, subwoofers and microphones and wireless systems. Brands we carry include Pioneer DJ, JBL, RCF, Shure, Electro-Voice, Technical Pro, Chauvet, QSC, ADJ and Mackie. Common San Marino requests: a first controller and speakers, a bigger PA for a growing church, or lighting to finish a setup.

Not sure where to start? Ask about our equipment packages: a quinceañera or wedding party system, a DJ lighting kit and a starter DJ setup are popular picks. To be clear, this is gear sales: no rentals, no DJs for hire, and no DJ equipment repair. Joe will help you set up your gear and get Serato running before you leave.

The drive

DJ Custom Audio is about 15.0 miles from San Marino by road (12.4 miles in a straight line), and the shop is south of San Marino. Without traffic the drive takes about 23 minutes; rush hour can add a lot more, so check your maps app before you leave. The usual route from San Marino uses I-710 (Long Beach Freeway), then surface streets such as West Valley Boulevard and Firestone Boulevard for the final miles.

Look for the corner of Atlantic and Firestone. We are next to the 7-Eleven at 8696 Atlantic Ave, South Gate, CA 90280, with parking on site and a shopping center across the street if you want to wait nearby during an install.

Why make the drive

Why drive in from San Marino instead of ordering online? You can hold a DJ controller or mixer, test a wireless mic, and compare powered speakers side by side. You can reserve gear by phone and pick it up at the counter, so nothing is sold out when you arrive. You talk to the people who will actually install your system, not a call center. You get an honest recommendation, including when a cheaper option is the right call.
