About Dynamat at DJ Custom Audio
Dynamat is sound deadening, and it is the part of a car audio job people skip and then regret. There are two Dynamat pieces listed, and each one shows its price: the Dynamat Xtreme 10435 door kit and the Xtreme 10455 bulk pack.
The door kit is sized for a pair of doors. It stops the panel from buzzing when a new speaker moves more air than the factory one did, and it cuts road noise coming through the door skin. The bulk pack is for bigger jobs: the trunk under a sub, a floor, or a whole cabin. Deadening does not add watts. It makes the watts you already have sound like speakers instead of sheet metal.
Tony will say how much the car actually needs. Doors on a speaker swap are a small job. A trunk behind two 12s is a bigger one. Dynamat goes in during the same visit as the speakers or the sub, often the same day, because the panels are already off. Bring the year, make, and model. If you need more sheets than we have on the floor, we can special order it.
