What it is

Alpine OPTIM8 DSP with a built-in 8-channel amp and phone-based AutoEQ.

The Alpine PXE-C80-88 OPTIM8 combines an 8-channel digital sound processor with a built-in 8-channel amplifier. The amp is rated 50 watts x 6 plus 150 watts x 2 at 4 ohms, or 50 watts x 6 plus 300 watts x 2 at 2 ohms. It accepts 8-channel speaker-level or 6-channel RCA inputs, plus coaxial, USB and Bluetooth sources, and has 8 channels of 4-volt RCA outputs. AutoEQ 2.0 measures and tunes the car from a phone app, with 31-band EQ, time correction and an anti-EQ for factory systems. A remote is included.
