What it is
Alpine Status 3-way set with carbon composite drivers for high-end builds. Special orders welcome.
The Alpine Status HDZ-653 is a 6.5-inch 3-way component speaker set from Alpine's top Status line. Each side has a 6.5-inch mid-bass driver, a 3.5-inch midrange and a 1.25-inch high range driver, all with carbon composite diaphragms and Alpine's double gathered edge surround. Power handling is 100W RMS and 300W peak, sensitivity is 88dB and response reaches 55Hz-40kHz. It supports 192kHz/24-bit Hi-Res playback as part of a full Status system with the HDS-990 source and HDP-D90 processor. Best run actively with a DSP and outboard amps.
