Pick the Chauvet DJ Intimidator Spot 110 or ADJ Pocket Pro for a light first pair of moving heads. Pick the Intimidator Spot 60 ILS if you already run Chauvet ILS lights, or the Spot 260X for brighter, sharper gobos with motorized focus. Pick the Intimidator Spot 360X for two prisms and the Beam 360X for tight 2-degree mid-air beams at bigger events, and the ADJ Focus Spot 4Z when you want a 200 W spot with motorized zoom for larger shows.
A moving head is a light that pans and tilts on its own, so patterns sweep the room and the dance floor. Spot fixtures project gobos (shapes) and colors with focus, and prisms split the beam into several. Beam fixtures throw a very tight shaft of light that shows best in haze.
Every light here is on our listings. We are an authorized Chauvet DJ dealer, and Joe can run a pair on the floor so you see the difference before you buy.
This table is built only from our own product listings. Where a listing does not state a spec, the cell says so instead of guessing.
LED wattage is a rough guide to brightness, but the beam angle matters too: a tight beam looks brighter at the same wattage.

The Chauvet DJ Intimidator Spot 110 is the light one at about 5 lb, with a 10 W LED, separate gobo and color wheels, a strobe effect and a 13-degree beam. It runs from sound-activated or automatic programs, or over DMX.
The ADJ Pocket Pro uses a 25 W LED with 7 colors plus white and 7 replaceable gobos plus a kit of 4 extra gobos, 540-degree pan and 230-degree tilt, gobo shake and scroll effects, sound-active mode and 4 built-in shows, at 7.3 lb.
The Intimidator Spot 60 ILS has a 70 W LED, 8 colors plus open, 7 rotating gobos, a 3-facet prism and manual zoom from 15 to 17 degrees. ILS compatibility runs synced shows with other ILS lights, D-Fi USB support adds wireless DMX, and Totem mode keeps beams on the dance floor.
The Intimidator Spot 260X has a 75 W LED, motorized focus, manual zoom from 12 to 17 degrees, 540-degree pan and 234-degree tilt, and its listing puts it at 17,458 lux at 2 m at its tightest angle. The Spot 360X adds a 5-facet linear prism alongside a 3-facet round prism, 7 gobos with rotation, and powerCON-compatible connections with a 1/4-turn bracket for faster setup.
The Intimidator Beam 360X throws a tight 2-degree beam from a 110 W LED, with 14 colors plus white, 18 metal gobos and a 16-facet round prism for mid-air effects. A built-in RF receiver works with optional remotes. Run haze with it, or the beams mostly disappear.
The ADJ Focus Spot 4Z is a 200 W spot with motorized focus and motorized zoom from 11 to 22 degrees, 6 removable rotating gobos and two rotating prisms. It suits production companies and larger DJ shows.
Most moving heads run fine on their own in sound-active or auto mode. When you want scenes, our listings include the Chauvet DJ Obey 40, a DMX controller for up to 12 fixtures that stores 30 banks of 8 scenes, and the Chauvet DJ ILS Command, made for ILS lights, with a built-in D-Fi transmitter (most lights need a D-Fi USB receiver) and a follow spot mode for grand entrances. The ADJ myDMX GO runs lights from a tablet app over Wi-Fi or USB.
For haze to show the beams, see our fog vs haze comparison.
Start with the room size and how you control lights now. A pair of moving heads on stands or a T-bar changes a room more than one big fixture. Joe can show them side by side on the floor.

Buy lights for the rooms you actually play, not for the biggest show you have seen online. For most DJs that means one all-in-one bar or effect light plus a small fog or haze machine first, then uplights or moving heads as the gigs grow. Here is how we walk people through it at the shop in South Gate.

Pick the GigBAR 3 ILS for house parties when you want color and movement without a laser, and room to grow with ILS. Pick the GigBAR Move ILS for quinceañeras and weddings where moving heads sell the look, and the GigBAR Bridge ILS when you already have effects and want two bigger moving head spots and two washes for bigger shows.
