AlphaTheta CDJ-3000X Professional DJ Multi Player
- 10.1 in touchscreen
- Wi-Fi and streaming
- Adjustable jog tension
$2,999
Pick the AlphaTheta CDJ-3000X for a flagship club booth, or the CDJ-1500X for the same streaming and touchscreen workflow in a smaller player. Pick the Pioneer DJ XDJ-1000MK2 or XDJ-700 for USB players that link over Pro DJ Link at a smaller size. For vinyl, the PLX-500 is the first-setup turntable with USB recording, the PLX-1000 is the pro direct-drive deck, and the PLX-CRSS12 plays records and also controls Serato DJ or rekordbox without timecode vinyl.
Media players and turntables are the decks that plug into a DJ mixer. Players read music from USB and, on the newest models, from streaming services. Turntables play real records, and with DVS they can also control DJ software.
Pair two decks with a mixer like the DJM-250MK2, DJM-S7 or DJM-A9 and you have a club-style booth. We are an authorized Pioneer DJ dealer, and everything here is on our listings.

The AlphaTheta CDJ-3000X is the flagship multi player. Its 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen shows up to 16 tracks, built-in Wi-Fi reaches cloud libraries and streaming from Apple Music, Beatport and TIDAL, and NFC lets you log in by tapping a phone. You get adjustable jog tension, one USB-A and two USB-C ports, Pro DJ Link over Ethernet and RCA and coaxial outputs.
The CDJ-1500X brings that workflow into a smaller player: a 10.1-inch touchscreen showing up to 15 tracks, eight Hot Cue buttons, a Beat Loop knob, a mid-size jog wheel, Wi-Fi and NFC login. Playlist Edit lets you reorder tracks on the player, and it still plays from USB.
The Pioneer DJ XDJ-1000MK2 plays rekordbox-prepared tracks from USB on a 7-inch color touchscreen with a large 8.11-inch jog wheel. It links with other players over Pro DJ Link and can act as a MIDI controller for DJ software. It is about 12 inches wide and about 8.2 lb.
The XDJ-700 is the compact one, about 4.4 lb with a 7-inch touchscreen and a 5.44-inch jog with CDJ and vinyl modes. It plays AAC, AIFF, MP3 and WAV from USB and has Hot Cue, Beat Loop, Slip mode, Beat Sync and Reverse, so it fits a small booth or a travel setup.
The PLX-500 has the look and layout of the PLX-1000 at a lower price, with high torque for mixing and scratching, a switchable phono/line output and USB to record your vinyl to a computer. A dust cover is included. It suits a first DJ setup or a home listening station.
The PLX-1000 is the professional deck: a high-torque, quartz-locked motor that starts in 0.3 seconds at 33 1/3 rpm, tempo ranges of 8, 16 and 50 percent, an S-shaped tone arm on a gimbal-supported bearing and a heavy chassis that fights vibration. Power and RCA cables detach for easy replacement.
The PLX-CRSS12 plays real records, and it can also control Serato DJ or rekordbox directly over USB-C without timecode vinyl. In digital mode the platter data comes from a sensor, so the needle cannot skip. The Magvel Clamp dial sets how heavy the platter feels. Joe can help you get it working with Serato.
Decide if you play files, streaming or records, and what mixer the decks will plug into. Bring your USB drive or a record to the counter and try them. Joe will walk you through linking players or setting up DVS.

Pick the DJM-250MK2 for a first club-style mixer with a built-in sound card and DVS, or the DJM-450 for club-mixer effects in a small booth. Pick the DJM-S7 or DJM-S11 if you scratch: both are two-channel battle mixers with the Magvel Fader Pro. Pick the four-channel DJM-A9 for a club-standard booth, and the DJM-V10, AlphaTheta DJM-V5 or EUPHONIA if you want deep sound shaping or rotary-style long blends.
Read itMost beginners do well with a small 2-channel controller like the Pioneer DJ DDJ-FLX4 or the AlphaTheta DDJ-FLX2, a decent pair of DJ headphones and the laptop, phone or tablet they already have. If you want to scratch, look at the DDJ-REV1 instead. If you never want a laptop at the gig, an all-in-one system like the XDJ-RR is the move.
Read itPick your PA by the event you play most, not by the biggest number on the box. A backyard party, a salon, a quinceañera with speeches and a church service each call for a different setup, and below we show what we would pull off the floor for each one and why.
