Chevrolet Colorado speaker upgrade
The Colorado works hard and drives long. The first generation uses 6.5-inch door speakers, and from 2015 on the front doors take 6x9s, so the year decides the size. We have verified sizes for 4 of 4 year ranges or trims in our table; anything not verified says "Confirm fit at the shop".

Install notes
- 2019–2022: If you are also swapping the radio: Metra 95-3016G application lists Colorado only to 2018.
- 2015–2018: If you are also swapping the radio: Metra 95-3016G double-DIN (7 or 8 in. factory radio); sub-dash modification required.
- 2004–2012: If you are also swapping the radio: Metra 99-2011 (single or double DIN) lists Colorado 2004-2012.
If the new speaker is a different size or deeper than the factory one, it can need an adapter bracket. Tony checks with your car in front of him before he starts.
How it works at the shop
Buy and install at 8696 Atlantic Ave, South Gate. Tony installs in our own bay, often the same day. Everything is picked up at the shop.

It depends on the year. Some we have verified: 2023–2026: 6x9" in the front doors; 2019–2022: 6x9" in the front doors; 2015–2018: 6x9" in the front doors. Any other spot or year: confirm fit at the shop.
Do I need a new radio or an amp to upgrade the speakers?
Not always. New speakers can run off the factory radio. Some factory premium systems use an amp that needs an interface; we check your trim before you buy.
Can you install them in South Gate?
