Tesla Model 3 speaker upgrade

The Model 3 is quiet on the road, so the speakers are easy to hear. The 2017 to 2023 car uses 6.5-inch speakers in the front doors and 4-inch speakers in the dash, rear doors and rear deck; the Highland refresh still needs a check at the shop. We have verified sizes for 1 of 2 year ranges or trims in our table; anything not verified says "Confirm fit at the shop".

If the new speaker is a different size or deeper than the factory one, it can need an adapter bracket. Tony checks with your car in front of him before he starts.

Tesla Model 3 speaker upgrade: questions

What size speakers fit the Tesla Model 3?

It depends on the year. Some we have verified: 2017–2023: 6.5" in the front doors, 4" in the dash, 4" in the rear doors, 4" in the rear deck. Any other spot or year: confirm fit at the shop.

Do I need a new radio or an amp to upgrade the speakers?

Not always. New speakers can run off the factory radio. Some factory premium systems use an amp that needs an interface; we check your trim before you buy.
